13 colleagues at the start line together for the Aschaffenburg City Run 2026

Aschaffenburg, May 11, 2026 – The traditional City Run is a firm fixture in Aschaffenburg. This year, over 5,000 runners crossed the finish line – more than ever before. A circuit leads them through Aschaffenburg’s city center to the finish line at Schloss Johannisburg.

Some of the 13 SPIE AUTOMATION colleagues participated in the Main-Echo Team Challenge (5,000 m), while others tackled the more demanding 8,000-meter distance in the main race. The evening was particularly successful for Christian Wonschik, an expert in electrical design, who completed the Stadtwerke Main Race with a strong time of 30:52 minutes, securing 7th place.

Off the track, everyone cheered each other on, motivated, and celebrated – regardless of whether someone was chasing a personal best or simply wanted to be part of the event. For the colleagues, the City Run was a welcome opportunity to see faces from other locations live for the first time.
