At the Grillhütte Nettesheim, where the teams from Dormagen and Gescher celebrated together, the day was primarily dedicated to shared (water) fun. Face painting, paddling pools, a playground, and Viking chess ensured that even the youngest guests never got bored. The competition for the Dormagen-Gescher traveling trophy then called on the adults as well—even at the risk of getting a good dose of water.
In Niedernberg, too, the summer festival was deliberately designed as a shared evening with families. In perfect summer weather, employees, partners, children, and even a few four-legged friends gathered at a vineyard. With freshly grilled burgers and cold drinks, a pleasant atmosphere emerged in which many good conversations took place.
30 years, many shared stories
The 30th anniversary of the SPIE AUTOMATION locations in Pfullendorf and Haßfurt provided additional reason this year not only to look forward but also to look back. This became particularly tangible in Haßfurt. At the summer festival in the old Eichamt in Schweinfurt, former site manager Stefan Besendorf took guests on a journey through three decades of site history. Many anecdotes and memories showed how much has changed during this time—and how many people have accompanied this development. With Ingbert Kraus, the founder of the original company, as well as former employees, some of those who shaped the early days were also present.
The new site and division managers for testing technology, Nico Rieger and Uwe Schweinfest, symbolically took over the baton. Stefan Besendorf and his wife Silvia, who worked for many years in accounting and controlling, were honored for their long-standing commitment.
In Pfullendorf, too, the company’s own history was part of the anniversary celebration. Management looked back with guests on the development of the past 30 years—from the origins in Überlingen to today’s SPIE Automation GmbH. There was also a special occasion for congratulations: Manfred Hirt was recognized for 30 years of service and is thus among the colleagues who have been part of the team since the founding year.
Heartfelt thanks go to all colleagues who organized the summer festivals at the locations and made them something special with great commitment—and of course to all employees and families who attended.
