Apprentice Leon swapped his training location in Ha\u00dffurt for the Pfullendorf location for one week and gained new practical experience. In doing so, he learned about different working methods, met new colleagues, and opened a door to a career change.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Pfullendorf, August 25, 2026 – <\/strong>As part of a week-long location visit, Leon, an apprentice automation technology electrician, had the opportunity to get to know the work at the Pfullendorf location and gain new practical experience.
The journey itself was something special: From his regular workplace, the SPIE AUTOMATION branch in Ha\u00dffurt, Leon traveled by train to Stuttgart and covered the remaining distance to Pfullendorf by bicycle – a full 125 km.
Since Leon is already in his third year of training, he had a good idea of what workflows to expect in the control cabinet workshop. He was all the more excited to meet the colleagues in Pfullendorf and experience their daily work routine.
Nevertheless, any nervousness was unfounded: The team in Pfullendorf welcomed Leon openly, explained the processes to him, and supported him with questions.<\/p>

Familiar tasks from a new perspective
<\/strong>Leon was able to apply his knowledge from Ha\u00dffurt in many areas, but also discovered differences. For example, different components are sometimes used in Pfullendorf, and the construction plans also differ in some areas. Leon gained the most from the different approach to task distribution.
He particularly remembered working on a multi-part control cabinet project. He was allowed to work independently on one section and follow the progress from the individual assembly to the finished control cabinet.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Valuable experience beyond your own location
<\/strong>In addition to practical experience, Leon took new contacts back to Ha\u00dffurt, which also opened up a new perspective for him personally: He can imagine moving south after his training to pursue new paths at the SPIE AUTOMATION Pfullendorf location.
Accordingly, Leon’s conclusion is also positive.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
