Three graduates from the Technical School for Electrical Engineering in Aschaffenburg were able to experience exactly that at SPIE AUTOMATION&#8217;s Niedernberg location. The goal was to map central process sequences in a PLC and visualize the entire workflow via an HMI simulation. This project combined theoretical knowledge from training with real-world industrial requirements.  <\/p><p>From the initial idea to the finished implementation, the three aspiring technicians worked independently on the solution. First, the basic process steps were defined and a step chain was developed. Building on this, the control logic was programmed and the workflows were visualized. They supported the team with technical questions, provided insights into industrial approaches, and helped translate theoretical knowledge into concrete applications. At the same time, there was enough room for independent work and creative solutions.  <\/p><p>In this project, the aspiring technicians were not only able to deepen their programming skills, but also learn to structure projects, distribute tasks, and deal with typical challenges in everyday work. Topics such as time planning, team coordination, and solving unexpected problems played just as important a role as the technical implementation. <\/p><p><strong>Practical Project as a Bridge Between School and Career<\/strong><br\/>The project demonstrates how important collaboration between companies and educational institutions is. Through such partnerships, young professionals gain the opportunity to acquire practical experience early on and prepare specifically for entering the workforce. At the same time, companies benefit from getting to know young talent and inspiring them.  <\/p><p>For SPIE AUTOMATION, promoting young talent is an important part of the corporate culture. Particularly helpful was the support from the supervisors, who showed us how industrial projects really work.
