This is precisely where the <strong>DiProLeA<\/strong> research project <em>(<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Di<\/strong><\/span>gital <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Pro<\/strong><\/span>duct creation process with <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>le<\/strong><\/span>arning <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>A<\/strong><\/span>ssistance system)<\/em> comes in. <\/p><p><b>The goal:<\/b> To digitally connect the entire development and manufacturing process and to specifically support employees through intelligent assistance systems. Cameras and sensors record the work steps, while an AI in the background recognizes what is happening \u2013 and provides assistance if necessary. <\/p>\n<p>For example, the system supports workers with real-time instructions or automatically detects when an error is creeping in. It is constantly learning in order to continuously optimize the processes. <\/p>\n<p>In this development phase, SPIE AUTOMATION contributed not only its research expertise, but also its many years of practical experience in automation, digitization, and software integration. Our colleague Dr. Michael Kr\u00f6hn, Head of Research &#038; Development, accompanied the project with comprehensive know-how on artificial intelligence, digital processes, and system architectures. Through this combination of innovative research and practice-oriented implementation, we were able to make a decisive contribution to ensuring that the developed technologies are not only convincing in the laboratory, but also function in real production environments and create added value.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div data-particle_enable=\"false\" data-particle-mobile-disabled=\"false\" class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7a3665e e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"7a3665e\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7227e3b elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7227e3b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Benefits<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-230d585 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"230d585\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>The practical added value is clear:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Fewer errors<\/strong> because the system automatically recognizes when something is wrong.<\/li><li><strong>Faster training<\/strong> of new employees through understandable, digital support.<\/li><li><strong>Higher quality<\/strong> and <strong>more efficient processes<\/strong> because knowledge is stored centrally and can be accessed at any time.<\/li><\/ul><p>How well theory and practice interact in the DiProLeA project was demonstrated during the practical tests at our project partners from industry: The system was already running successfully in real operation in the assembly of track roller bearings. The XR-based assistance also proved its worth in the manufacture of pipe components in the aviation industry.
