The goal was to <strong>simplify the search for information in an Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM)<\/strong>. Manual and thus error-prone entry of asset IDs was to be replaced by a scannable QR code.  <\/p><p>In addition, there should be a direct connection to the EAM system to enable real-time queries and uploads of critical data\/information without delay. Furthermore, asset information should be made more visible. Therefore, a HoloLens was to be used to visualize information directly with Augmented Reality.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div data-particle_enable=\"false\" data-particle-mobile-disabled=\"false\" class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-62c1ea8 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"62c1ea8\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d0811c0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d0811c0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Solution<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9512004 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9512004\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In the first step, a <strong>use case description<\/strong> was created to develop a common project understanding. It answered questions such as &#8220;What data is read and how?&#8221;, &#8220;To whom is the data sent?&#8221;, and &#8220;What should be displayed in the HoloLens?&#8221;. <\/p><p>After a brief introduction to the developer tools for the HoloLens, SPIE AUTOMATION quickly created a <strong>prototype<\/strong>. Progress was regularly reported to SPIE SPECTADES. To avoid losing time, a <strong>pre-release version of the application<\/strong> was delivered to SPIE SPECTADES for testing on a PC. Several coordination rounds were conducted with SPIE RODIAS and SPIE SPECTADES to test the interfaces and data display. All relevant <strong>asset data is always up-to-date and visually well-prepared in the glasses<\/strong>.
