data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The company was looking for a way to better <strong>manage<\/strong> its increasingly complex <strong>quality controls and production processes<\/strong>. The existing process control system could no longer keep up with the higher requirements. In addition, many investments in production facilities were pending, which were to be integrated into a new process control system right away.  <\/p><p>A week was defined during which production was to stand still. Within this time window, &#8220;Area 2&#8221; (mixing and preparation) of production was to be switched over to the new process control system. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div data-particle_enable=\"false\" data-particle-mobile-disabled=\"false\" class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d493214 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"d493214\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-10886b1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"10886b1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Solution<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2e4147d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2e4147d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>First, a project team was formed with experts from SPIE ESCAD Austria and our customer. After in-depth discussions with the operators, the production manager, and quality assurance employees, the exact <strong>function of the systems was determined<\/strong> and a <strong>functional specification document<\/strong> was created. <\/p><p>The subsequent <strong>software preparation<\/strong> took place in-house at SPIE ESCAD Austria. The customer&#8217;s IT team provided the necessary hardware requirements to install our system. <\/p><p>The <strong>creation of the interface to the ERP system<\/strong> presented a challenge that required intensive discussions and testing. Before we began the first changeover, the production employees were trained on the new system. <\/p><p>On two weekends before the planned shutdown week, we checked whether all systems worked with our system. On Sundays, the legacy system was reactivated. During the shutdown week, we carried out the final system tests and started the first <strong>test productions<\/strong> on the third day.  <\/p><p>The <strong>operators were also brought in<\/strong> <strong>very early on<\/strong>.
